Bad Queers

Getting what I need (w/ Dani Janae from Autostraddle) I Episode 140

This week we welcome writer Dani Janae from Autostraddle. We discuss growing up queer in Pittsburgh, the top 5 fictional characters that influenced our queerness and reviewed The White Lotus and The L Word: Generation Q. We broke down whether we felt "the gay voice" was real and representation in writing.

Shoutouts:
Shana: The San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition for hosting their first Black LGBTQ Human Book Experience. This will happen February 11th at 3 pm. The Black LGBTQ Human Book Experience is an interactive learning experience where readers can ask our human books difficult questions that are expected, appreciated and answered in a safe space for dialogue. Kris: Maliyah Hart’s "We’re Gay" clothing brand. What caught my eye was their dope ass “We’re Gay” varsity jacket but there's also woven tapestry, sweatshirts, shorts and custom items. Shop at itscoolweregay.com Follow on IG: we.regay

Dani Janae: Shoutout to Shelli Nicole for being a light! Follow @ayoshelli on IG and K. Iver and their first release of their book of poems called "Short films starring my beloveds red bronco" follow @ivertownadncountry on IG
