Lesbians Aren't Cool (w/Tribble) I Episode 276

Shana & Kris Season 1 Episode 276

This week in Queer Urban Dictionary, Kris explains the gender-inclusive pronoun per, while Shana celebrates the “ace of hearts.” Then we’re joined by comedian, host, producer, and professional catfish Tribble (Ellis Ever After, Ask Tribble Inc.)

We get into the wild world of queer relationships, accountability panels, and why women need to chill when it comes to “dabbling in the dark arts" (aka straight women in queer experiences). Plus, Tribble gives us the tea on what’s missing (and what’s overdone) in podcasting, their approach to dating, and the myth that only studs and white women get to be the “cool lesbians.”

Of course, we wrap up with Bad Queer Opinions and shoutouts — from a NatGeo docuseries on Hurricane Katrina to safe queer spaces like As You Are DC, and parties by Queer Aunties + Club Cleo.

Shoutouts:

Kris: Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time - NatGeo docuseries series looks back at the lessons learned from the storm, and why we can't forget the tragic aspects that were man-made ahead of its 20th anniversary. The five part series is  directed by Traci A. Curry and executive produced by Ryan Coogler. You can watch it on Hulu. The first episode is available on National Geographic’s YT

Shana: As You Are: A safe and celebratory space for the LGBTQIA+ Community. Café by day, bar and dance lounge by night - Follow @asyouaredc on IG

Tribble: Queer Aunties - They do dope 30+ parties, started in LA and travel to other cities. @queerauntiesla

Club Cleo - Dope Black lesbians who are on the pulse socially, and host great events @clubcleola
